Seminyak: A Gentle Farewell to My Soloscape πŸ’–

City Vibes, Soul Whispers, and a Sunset Goodbye

From the peaceful heart of Ubud, I arrived in Seminyak, Bali’s lively coastal town, pulsing with movement, music, and the colorful chaos of city life. It was a stark contrast, yet somehow, a fitting finale.

I checked into Grandmas Plus Hotel, freshened up, and stepped out to hunt for dinner. As I wandered the streets, the energy was electric — the clinking of glasses, bursts of laughter, and glowing storefronts pulling my gaze. I picked up some souvenirs for family and friends — little pieces of Bali I wanted to carry home for the ones I love.

Dinner was light, yet comforting, at Bollywood Cafe. Yes — still on my unexpected vegetarian path — and loving every bit of it. After my meal, I walked back under the evening lights, treating myself to a scoop of tiramisu ice-cream, sitting outside the hotel, music floating in from the open cafΓ© next door. It was simple… and simply beautiful.

That night, I slept with a soft sense of closure in my heart.

Journaling at Dawn: A Beachside Moment

The next morning, I woke early and took a quiet 6walk to the beach. I grabbed a warm coffee and a piece of bread from a nearby stall and found a spot to sit — just me, my journal, and the sea. ☕πŸ“–πŸŒŠ

The beach was alive — not with noise, but with life. One thing that truly warmed my heart was seeing the doggie babies running freely along the shoreline. 🐾 People walked, jogged, played fetch, and simply existed with their beloved pets. The way those dogs ran in joy, tails wagging,  leaping in and out of the waves… it was more than cute. It was a living lesson in freedom, in playfulness and in pure presences. It made me smile in that way your soul smiles when it remembers something it's always known.

After journaling, I stood quietly at the water’s edge. The cool waves touched my feet, and I watched as others moved through their own morning routines — yoga flows, gentle walks, horse rides along the shore. The simplicity, the rhythm — it grounded me deeply.

I returned to the hotel, refreshed and glowing from within. After getting ready, I checked out, just in time to be greeted by a sweet surprise — Easter cheer! πŸ°πŸ’ The hotel staff had bunny ears headbands and cute little egg basket, spreading smiles. I couldn’t resist a picture with the lovely girls — their joyful spirit was infectious.

The Last Stops: Cliff Roads, Honest Regrets & Final Treasures

My driver arrived and we made our way to Pandawa Cliff Road — a place I had high hopes for. But truthfully… it was overrated. There was an entrance fee, and the cliff stretch itself was short and underwhelming. A rare moment of regret during this otherwise glowing trip.

The driver then suggested Garuda Wisnu Kencana, the towering cultural statue and park. I declined. I wasn’t in the mood for tourist crowds or grand monuments. I wanted my last hours in Bali to be soft, still, and meaningful.

So, instead, I went to Krisna Oleh-Oleh Bali, a massive shopping haven where you can find everything from snacks and spices to handcrafted goods, batik clothes, meaningful souvenirs. I highly recommend this place — affordable, organized, and rich in variety. I picked out a little something for my driver too, and the smile on his face said more than words ever could.

The Final Goodbye

He dropped me at the airport, we took a couple of selfies, and shared a warm farewell. ✨

I stepped into the terminal, had lunch, and waited to board. As the plane took off, the sun began its descent. And there it was — the majestic Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue, visible from the sky, standing taller than any building, catching the last light of day. πŸŒ…πŸ›«

The sky turned golden, then soft orange. The sun melted into the horizon as if waving goodbye. I closed my eyes and smiled.

When I departed from KUL, I was greeted by sunrise.

Now, as I leave Bali, I return under a sunset.
Full circle.

More Than a Journey

This wasn’t just a vacation.
This wasn’t even just a healing trip.

This was a remembrance — of who I am beneath the layers.
A reconnection — to my stillness, my rhythm, my breath.
A soft reclaiming — of my joy, my choices, my peace.

Bali didn’t just soothe my soul — it whispered to it.
And I listened.

If you're longing for something more — not to escape, but to return to yourself — I hope my journey reminds you that it’s possible.

Thank you, Bali. Thank you, Life
.
Till we meet again… πŸŒΏπŸ’›

With love, presence, and a full heart,

My Healing Journey to Bali ✨🌴

Ubud – The Heartbeat of My Soul

When people think of Bali, they often imagine beaches, parties, and touristy scenes. But for me, it was something entirely different. I wasn’t chasing a vacation. I was longing for peace, for stillness, and for a space where I could just be — no expectations, no pressure. And so, I followed my heart and landed in Ubud, the spiritual soul of Bali.

A Gentle Start :  Spa & Soul Soaking

The moment I arrived in Bali, the hustle and bustle of the airport and city reminded me why I was here — to escape it all. As my journey took me closer to Ubud, the energy shifted. Though the roads were still a little busy, they felt calmer, more grounded. It was the perfect prelude to the transformation I was about to experience.

I checked into Kiskenda Cottages, a cozy, greenery-wrapped sanctuary just slightly off the main Ubud street — close enough to walk, far enough to breathe. After a quick refresh, I stepped out to explore, craving a good meal and a self-care pause.

Lunch was at Chai of the Tiger, and it was divine. I had the perfect thali and a lime soda that felt like a cool breeze on a hot noon. The flavors, the spices, the comfort — it all hit differently in that moment. πŸ₯—πŸ‹

Feeling full and inspired, I walked into Bali Organic Spa Ubud and booked a 5-hour full-body spa package for just RM230. I asked if I could split it over two days, and they gladly agreed.

That afternoon, I was treated to a foot soak, full body massage, body scrub, body yogurt wrap, and a flower bath — all in the open, surrounded by the sounds of nature. Birds chirping, breeze flowing, and warm hands massaging away every tension I didn’t even know I was carrying. It was pure joy — not just relaxation, but renewal. πŸ’†‍♀️🌸

I returned to my villa that evening and drifted into a deep, soul-resting sleep — the kind that feels like a soft reset from the inside out.

Taman Beji Griya Waterfall: My Soul's Awakening

The next morning came with a quiet excitement. This was the day. The reason I came to Bali.

After a light breakfast, I headed to Taman Beji Griya Waterfall for the purification and healing ceremony. On arrival, I was welcomed warmly and briefed about the sacred process. I selected the package that felt aligned with my intention — a healing journey to cleanse, release, and awaken. (See price list attached for reference).

Wrapped in traditional attire, I began the ritual. Just after the first offering,
the skies opened — it began to rain.

But this wasn’t just rain. It was as if the heavens were blessing the moment. I stood in it, soaking — not just in water, but in grace. 🌧️πŸ™

The journey continued into the cave. The moment I entered, the rain stopped — a poetic pause from nature, as if it was holding the space just for me.

Each stop in the purification process had its own energy. Waterfalls, sacred stones, blessings whispered in chants — I surrendered fully. I wasn’t rushing. I wasn’t thinking. I was feeling. Letting each drop wash away a layer of what no longer served me.

By the time I walked out, I wasn’t the same.

Grounding Back Into Me

I returned from the ceremony, feeling light, almost floaty. I went searching for food but nothing on the menus around moved me. Until I reached RUS Kitchen. As I browsed their offerings, my body leaned toward something plant-based. I ordered the vegetarian rice bowl, and it turned out to be incredibly aromatic and satisfying. A perfect post-ritual meal. πŸŒΎπŸ’š

Later, I headed back to Bali Organic Spa to continue the rest of my package. This time, it was a deep scalp massage and spa treatment — relaxing my crown and calming my thoughts.

As the evening approached, I found myself chatting with a few friendly locals outside the spa,  light conversations that felt like balm to the soul. I then wandered into a nearby cafΓ©, grabbed a coffee, and did some journal writing,  capturing reflections that I knew I’d want to revisit later. That night, I returned to my room and slept deeply again - this time, not just with a relaxed body, but with a beautifully realigned spirit.

Sound, Stillness & the Magic of Being Present

My final morning in Ubud began with a hot soak in the bathtub, followed by a warm shower. I wasn’t hungry, so I simply grabbed a coffee from my usual cafΓ©, packed my bags, and headed to Pyramids of Chi for my next experience: the Ancient Sound Healing Session.

The 90-minute session was held inside a sacred pyramid structure, and from the moment it began, I was transported. The sound vibrations moved through me, realigning something invisible but important. πŸ””πŸ’«

After the session, I wandered slowly through the space. I sat facing the Pyramids of the Moon and Sun, sipping on a dragonfruit smoothie and a latte, with The Power of Now in my hands.

The sunlight danced on my skin. Birds sang softly. The smoothie was refreshing. The moment felt whole.

And I couldn’t help but be thankful that I chose the early session — there were only seven of us, allowing for a deep, quiet connection. The next group, I noticed, had nearly 30 people.

After a while, I called a Grab and prepared to leave Ubud.

Ubud — You Held Me Gently

As we drove away, a wave of emotion rose in me. Ubud wasn’t just a place I visited. It was a place that held me, nurtured me, and reminded me who I was. A place that made me feel like I was gently cradled — like a queen in retreat, even without luxury. Just nature, intention, and presence. πŸ‘‘πŸŒΏ

An Unexpected Gift: Jatiluwih Rice Terraces

I originally planned to go straight to Seminyak, but as my Grab driver shared stories and suggestions, one name caught my ear — Jatiluwih.

Something nudged me, and I asked, “Can we go there?”
He smiled. “Of course.”

We drove into the hills, where the air grew cooler and the skies turned cloudy. The road winded gently until we reached a place that looked like a living painting — terraced green waves of rice fields, soft wind, and a peaceful stillness that wrapped around me.

There were no crowds, just small stalls with local snacks and a wide-open path. I walked for about two hours, soaking in every breath, every view. Then I treated myself to a fresh coconut before continuing the drive to Seminyak.

Embracing Each Day: My Reflections and Aspirations for 2025 🌟

πŸ’« Gratitude and GrowthπŸ’«

As we usher in 2025, I find myself contemplating the quiet beauty of everyday blessings. Unlike the grand celebrations that herald the arrival of a new year for many, I cherish a more subdued acknowledgment—every day is a God-given gift, rich with potential and joy 🎁.

This past year, I've come to appreciate that dwelling on complaints serves little purpose. When I listen to the struggles of others, I realize how minor my own concerns are in comparison. This realization has taught me the importance of focusing on the positives and finding joy in the smallest aspects of life 🌱.

Take, for instance, my betta fish, Blu-ray. Watching him in his aquarium, I'm captivated by his simple contentment. He swims gracefully, plays among the plants, builds bubble nests, and even spars playfully with his reflection. Blu-ray has unwittingly shown me the art of living alone—how to be self-sufficient, finding happiness in solitude without loneliness. His life is a dance of simple pleasures, a lesson in enjoying the moment without yearning for more 🐠🌿.

While I admire those in my circle who craft vision boards and chase ambitious goals, I've noticed that sometimes, in the pursuit of what's next, we risk losing touch with the now. The excitement of future aspirations can overshadow the beauty of the present. This year, I'm setting an intention to balance ambition with appreciation. I want to embrace spontaneity and live fully, making the most of every minute in 2025 πŸ•°️πŸ’«.

Can anyone else resonate with this journey? Are you too finding a way to balance the pursuit of future dreams with the richness of living in the present?

This year, let's extend our gratitude for all that shapes us. I am thankful for the community that journeys with me, the possessions I cherish that bring comfort and joy, the challenges that have made me wiser, and every little event that marked my path in 2024. Each has contributed to my growth and resilience πŸ™.

As we step into another year full of potential, I invite you to join me in celebrating life's simple pleasures and unexpected lessons. Let’s make 2025 a year of living genuinely, appreciating every moment, and embracing the opportunities that come our way πŸŽ‰.

A Toast to the New Year

As we bid farewell to the old and welcome the new, let's not just wish for a 'Happy New Year' in the ordinary way. Let's commit to making each day count, to see the wonder in the ordinary, and to live a life filled with meaningful moments.

Here’s to 2025—may it be a canvas for our dreams and a stage for our joyful everyday adventures. Embrace the journey, cherish the moments, and live passionately!

Happy New Adventures πŸš€, Happy New Insights πŸ“š, Happy New Joys πŸ˜„—Happy New Year!

With all my heart, filled with gratitude,

The Power of Mentorship & Coaching

Finding the Right Mentor is Key to Success!

There was a time when I felt like I was walking blind—unsure of my next steps, uncertain about my decisions, and often overwhelmed by the challenges life threw my way. I knew I wanted more, but I didn’t know how to get there. That’s when I realized the importance of having a mentor and coach by my side.

With their guidance, I found clarity. They became my sounding board, helping me navigate the complexities of both personal and professional life. Whenever doubt creeps in or I’m faced with a difficult decision, I turn to them for advice. Their wisdom and experience have been invaluable, showing me new perspectives and solutions I would have never seen on my own.

I’ve progressed from where I started—essentially zero—to where I am now. Each step has been a lesson, a growth opportunity, and a chance to prove to myself that I’m capable of more. And this journey is far from over. I have several exciting plans in the pipeline that will push me even further.

Mentorship isn’t about being perfect; it’s about learning, adapting, and continually growing. Having someone in your corner who believes in you, guides you, and challenges you can make all the difference in your progress.

If you’re feeling lost or unsure, I encourage you to seek out a mentor or coach to guide you. And if you’re looking for advice or support, I’m here to help as well. Don’t hesitate to reach out—let’s work together to unlock your potential and navigate the path to your success.

What’s the One Thing You’ll Never Compromise in Life?

 Health is Wealth!!!

When it comes to life, we all have that one thing we hold sacred, something we refuse to compromise on no matter the circumstances. For me, that non-negotiable is my health. Over the years, I’ve become incredibly health-conscious, carefully managing my food intake and being mindful of what I put into my body.

I’ve significantly cut down on starchy foods, reducing my intake of white rice and switching to parboiled, millet rice or quinoa at times. I’ve also embraced intermittent fasting, which has become a regular part of my routine. Fast foods? They’re a distant memory for me now—I stopped indulging in them a long time ago.

However, maintaining a healthy lifestyle isn’t just about food. It’s also about staying active, something I’ve struggled with due to time constraints. I used to practice yoga regularly, but had to pause because of issues with my wrists. My regular walking sessions also fell by the wayside, leaving me relying solely on diet to manage my weight.

But as I’ve discovered, this approach has its limitations. Long hours sitting at the office have left me with body stiffness, and I’ve noticed a decline in my stamina. My body is calling out for movement, and it’s time I listen.

That’s why I’ve taken a new step in my health journey—I’ve signed up for a gym membership and I’m starting today! It’s time to rebuild my stamina, regain my flexibility, and get my body moving again. I’m excited to embark on this journey to stay fit, and I’m committed to making this a part of my life going forward.

So, I ask you, what’s the one thing you’ll never compromise on in life? For me, it’s my health, because without it, everything else becomes harder to achieve. Whether it’s eating right, staying active, or simply taking time to care for yourself, find what matters most to you and protect it fiercely.

What Is Imposter Syndrome?

My Journey with Imposter SyndromeπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

Have you ever felt like a fraud, doubting your abilities despite evident success? This unsettling feeling is known as imposter syndrome, and it affects many talented individuals. Imposter syndrome can make you feel like an outsider in your own achievements, leading to persistent self-doubt and fear of being exposed as a "phony."

I have been there. At one point, my own family members questioned my financial stability, pointing out that I didn’t even have a few hundreds in my bank account. Their doubts made me question my worth and abilities, and I feared I would never accomplish even the smallest goals in life.

One of the lowest points was when I failed repeatedly and felt so depressed that I would cry, hide at home, and isolate myself from family and friends. The cycle of self-doubt seemed unbreakable. But despite the setbacks, I never compared myself to others. My focus remained on what I wanted to achieve and who I wanted to become.

“The only way to deal with fear is to face it head-on.” – Oprah Winfrey.
My turning point came when mentors began to acknowledge my talents and skills, lifting me up with their belief in me. Their support helped me start seeing my own strengths and capabilities. I realized that I had much to offer and that my journey, with all its ups and downs, had made me resilient and determined.

I cherish the roots of my upbringing, valuing humility and simplicity. These values remind me of where I came from and who helped me along the way.

You are enough just as you are.” – Meghan Markle.
While I may sometimes appear confident or even puffed up, it is often a reflection of the respect I receive. My behaviour mirrors the treatment I get from others.

 Strategies to Overcome Imposter Syndrome

  1. Self-Affirmation: Regularly remind yourself of your achievements and strengths. Keep a journal of your successes, no matter how small.

  2. Seeking Feedback: Actively seek constructive feedback from trusted colleagues and mentors to gain a more accurate assessment of your abilities.

  3. Setting Realistic Goals: Break down large tasks into smaller, manageable goals to build confidence gradually.

  4. Embracing Mistakes: Understand that making mistakes is part of the learning process and does not define your worth or abilities.

  5. Professional Support: Consider seeking support from a coach or therapist to work through persistent feelings of inadequacy.

To everyone reading this, remember: you are not alone. Acknowledging imposter syndrome is the first step toward overcoming it. Here are some signs that you might be experiencing imposter syndrome:

  • Persistent Self-Doubt: Constantly doubting your abilities and feeling like you're not as competent as others think.

  • Attributing Success to Luck: Believing that your achievements are due to luck or external factors rather than your own skills and effort.

  • Fear of Being Exposed: Worrying that others will find out you are not as capable as they believe.

  • Downplaying Accomplishments: Minimizing your successes and feeling that they are not a big deal.

  • Overworking: Putting in extra effort to compensate for your perceived inadequacies.

If you recognize these signs in yourself, it's important to take steps to address them. Embrace your journey, celebrate your achievements, and never let self-doubt overshadow your true potential. Share your experiences and strategies in the comments below. Let's support each other in recognizing our worth and capabilities.

Reflecting on my journey, I am grateful for the mentors and experiences that helped me see my true potential. The road to self-acceptance and confidence is ongoing, but every step forward is a victory. Stay focused on your path, believe in your abilities, and always remember: you are capable of achieving great things.

Can Professional Jealousy Overshadow Genuine Talent?

πŸ‘‰ Staying Positive πŸ‘ˆπŸ‘‰Rising AboveπŸ‘ˆ

Greetings, wonderful readers,

I recently had the opportunity to participate a five-day training program where I joined both as a trainee and a peer among experienced professionals. The days were filled with lively group activities and networking, creating an atmosphere of learning and mutual respect. However, not all interactions turn out as we hope, and it’s from these moments we often gain the most insight.

On the final day, during a networking session where we exchanged business cards and discussed our professional backgrounds, I encountered a moment that challenged my determination. One participant, who owned a training company, reluctantly exchanged cards with me. His demeanour changed noticeably; he appeared disinterested and dismissive when learning about my field of expertise.

As we exchanged a few words, I barely had time to describe my work before he interrupted with a rather condescending remark: "Oh, you don’t even know what you're doing, is it?" He then walked away without waiting for my response. This interaction, although brief, was surprisingly jarring. It revealed more about his character than anything else, showing a lack of respect and perhaps an underlying insecurity or jealousy.

Reflecting on this, I was reminded of a powerful truth:

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."
— Eleanor Roosevelt.

This quote resonates deeply with me, as it underscores the importance of maintaining self-esteem and not allowing others’ negativity to diminish our sense of self-worth.

Despite the discomfort of the situation, I chose to remain composed. I realized that such attitudes often stem from personal insecurities or competitive tendencies, which can be more pronounced in professional environments. It is important to stay confident in our abilities and the paths we have chosen. Each of us knows our own struggles and triumphs, and no one outside can fully understand the journeys we've undergone to reach where we are.

Let’s remember, it is essential to remain positive and not let such encounters discourage us. People with dominating or negative behaviours will always exist, but our reaction to them defines our personal and professional growth.

As Michelle Obama once said, "When they go low, we go high."

This approach has not only helped me navigate such interactions but also reinforced my commitment to collaborate with those who respect and uplift others.

In closing, always stand tall and proud of your achievements. Let no one’s words shake your foundation or cloud your journey. Stay focused on the positivity that you bring into your work and the people around you. After all, the right people will see your value and extend the respect you deserve.

Remember, the only approval you truly need is your own.

Dreams to Reality......

A Home of My Own! πŸ

"Dreams are not those which come while we are sleeping, but
dreams are those when you don't sleep before fulfilling them."
– A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

To All Who Dream Big,

I have a touching and personal story to tell you today. This is the tale of my aspirations, my will to succeed, and the happiness I had when I accomplished the seemingly impossible. This is the story of my journey from a place of complete insignificance to one of prominence within my immediate family and among my peers. It's a voyage that evoked sentiments of joy, accomplishment, and appreciation.

I had always aspired to have a home that I could genuinely call my own. A space where I could find comfort, peace, and a sense of belonging. After countless struggles and heartbreaks, that dream has finally come true. I bought a small, cute apartment within my budget, and I have fully renovated it into a cozy, welcoming home.......πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡

Securing this apartment was not an easy feat. My first loan application for another unit was rejected, which left me devastated. I felt sad and defeated, questioning whether I would ever achieve this dream. But then, I stumbled upon this unit. Unlike my previous experience, I approached this one with a sense of calm resignation. I told myself, if it’s meant to be mine, it will be mine. And if not, then it simply wasn’t meant to be.

Miraculously, everything fell into place. The house owners were incredibly kind and supportive, allowing me to start renovations even before the full amount was cleared. Their generosity and trust filled my heart with gratitude and hope. It felt as though the universe was finally aligning in my favour. πŸ’•πŸ’•

The moment I signed the papers, I was overwhelmed with emotion. This was my very first property, purchased under my own name, without any second name attached or a guarantor. I had done it all by myself. Standing in my newly renovated apartment, I felt an immense sense of pride and accomplishment. This wasn’t just a purchase; it was a testament to my resilience, hard work, and unwavering belief in myself.

When my family heard about my new home, their reactions were priceless. Seeing the pride and admiration in their eyes was incredibly rewarding. For the first time, I felt like someone significant, someone who had achieved something remarkable. Their support and joy brought tears to my eyes, reinforcing the importance of this milestone.

This apartment is more than just a place to live; it symbolizes my journey from struggle to success. It’s a reminder that with perseverance and faith, even the most daunting dreams can become reality.πŸ’«

To everyone reading this, I want to say: Never give up on your dreams, no matter how unattainable they may seem. Life has a way of surprising us, and sometimes, the path to our dreams is paved with unexpected challenges and opportunities. Embrace them, learn from them, and keep moving forward. Because one day, you too will stand in your dream home, filled with pride and gratitude, knowing that you made it happen.πŸ’ͺ

"Embracing the Present......."

Finding Joy in Everyday MomentsπŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, often overlooking the simple pleasures that life offers. Over the years, I've learned the importance of embracing the present and finding joy in everyday moments. This practice has not only brought more happiness into my life but has also helped me appreciate the beauty in the mundane.

One of my favourite moments of mindfulness happened during a routine hike. As I climbed a familiar trail, I decided to pause and take in my surroundings. The rustling leaves, the chirping birds, and the gentle breeze all created a symphony of nature that I had often overlooked. In that moment, I felt a profound sense of peace and joy, simply by being present and fully immersed in my environment.

Another instance was during a simple family dinner. Amid the laughter and shared stories, I found myself truly appreciating the warmth and love that surrounded me. These small gatherings, filled with genuine connection, have become some of my most cherished memories.

Practicing mindfulness doesn't have to be complicated. Here are a few tips that have helped me stay present:

  •  Deep Breathing: Taking a few deep breaths can instantly ground you and bring you back to the present moment.
  •  Meditation: Even a short meditation session can help clear your mind and improve your focus on the here and now.
  • Daily Reflection: Set aside a few minutes each day to reflect on what you're grateful for and the small joys you experienced.

Focusing on the present has transformed my life in many ways. I've noticed improvements in my mental health, stronger relationships, and an overall increase in my happiness. By finding joy in the little things, I've learned to navigate life's challenges with a more positive outlook.

I encourage all of you to start embracing the present and discovering the joy in your everyday moments. Whether it's savoring your morning coffee, enjoying a walk in the park, or spending quality time with loved ones, these small moments can bring immense happiness.

Remember, life is made up of these little moments. So, take a deep breath, look around, and appreciate the beauty that surrounds you.

With love and mindfulness,
Suzan πŸ’š

Seminyak: A Gentle Farewell to My Soloscape πŸ’–

City Vibes, Soul Whispers, and a Sunset Goodbye From the peaceful heart of Ubud, I arrived in Seminyak, Bali’s lively coastal town, pulsing ...
