Can Professional Jealousy Overshadow Genuine Talent?

πŸ‘‰ Staying Positive πŸ‘ˆπŸ‘‰Rising AboveπŸ‘ˆ

Greetings, wonderful readers,

I recently had the opportunity to participate a five-day training program where I joined both as a trainee and a peer among experienced professionals. The days were filled with lively group activities and networking, creating an atmosphere of learning and mutual respect. However, not all interactions turn out as we hope, and it’s from these moments we often gain the most insight.

On the final day, during a networking session where we exchanged business cards and discussed our professional backgrounds, I encountered a moment that challenged my determination. One participant, who owned a training company, reluctantly exchanged cards with me. His demeanour changed noticeably; he appeared disinterested and dismissive when learning about my field of expertise.

As we exchanged a few words, I barely had time to describe my work before he interrupted with a rather condescending remark: "Oh, you don’t even know what you're doing, is it?" He then walked away without waiting for my response. This interaction, although brief, was surprisingly jarring. It revealed more about his character than anything else, showing a lack of respect and perhaps an underlying insecurity or jealousy.

Reflecting on this, I was reminded of a powerful truth:

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."
— Eleanor Roosevelt.

This quote resonates deeply with me, as it underscores the importance of maintaining self-esteem and not allowing others’ negativity to diminish our sense of self-worth.

Despite the discomfort of the situation, I chose to remain composed. I realized that such attitudes often stem from personal insecurities or competitive tendencies, which can be more pronounced in professional environments. It is important to stay confident in our abilities and the paths we have chosen. Each of us knows our own struggles and triumphs, and no one outside can fully understand the journeys we've undergone to reach where we are.

Let’s remember, it is essential to remain positive and not let such encounters discourage us. People with dominating or negative behaviours will always exist, but our reaction to them defines our personal and professional growth.

As Michelle Obama once said, "When they go low, we go high."

This approach has not only helped me navigate such interactions but also reinforced my commitment to collaborate with those who respect and uplift others.

In closing, always stand tall and proud of your achievements. Let no one’s words shake your foundation or cloud your journey. Stay focused on the positivity that you bring into your work and the people around you. After all, the right people will see your value and extend the respect you deserve.

Remember, the only approval you truly need is your own.

The Day My Confidence Skidded Away!

My Driving Nightmare!

Dear Adventurers,

Driving has always been one of my strong suits. My family often jokes that I’m their personal chauffeur, and I take pride in my driving skills. I'm always confident on the road, whether I’m navigating busy city streets or cruising down the highway in the speed lane. But sometimes, life has a way of humbling us when we least expect it.

Back in 2014, I bought my very first car, a Perodua Myvi. It was a moment of excitement, marking a significant milestone in my life. My confidence behind the wheel was at an all-time high. I was always focused, keeping an eye on my surroundings, checking my mirrors, and staying in control. But one fateful day, everything changed in a split second.πŸ’₯

As usual, I was driving on the highway, maintaining my speed and vigilance. Unexpectedly, my car began to skid, and smoke started billowing out. 😨😨Despite panic set in, I was able to stay focused. I turned on the hazard lights and pulled the handbrake, desperately trying to stop the car. It felt like an eternity before the car finally came to a halt.

Terrified, I tried to open the car door, but it was stiff. I grabbed my phone and managed to get out, shaking with fear. To my horror, I saw that the entire tire and bearing on the driver's side had come off. My car had been skidding on its body. All I could recall back was a bus attempting to overtake another vehicle ahead of me, and in my effort to avoid it, my tire had gotten caught. When I pulled the car to the left, everything happened in a split second. The right side of my car was badly damaged, with a long scratch from front to back.πŸ˜•

Onlookers said it was a miracle that the car didn’t flip over or spin out of control. Thank God nothing happened to me—I was all fine. Tow trucks arrived quickly, and my car was taken to the nearest police station. My brother and parents came to my aid, finding me shivering in shock. Despite my assurances, everyone assumed I had been speeding. But in reality, I wasn’t.

This accident instilled a deep-seated fear in me. Since then, whenever I’m near big trucks or buses, or when overtaking them, I get an overwhelming sense of dread. A few years later, this fear started to fade away. Even now, I remain extra cautious on the road, always aware of the unpredictability of driving.

"Experience is the teacher of all things." – Julius Caesar

This experience taught me that no matter how confident we are, accidents can happen to anyone at any time. It's crucial to stay vigilant and not let overconfidence cloud our judgment. Always be prepared for the unexpected and keep safety as your top priority.

To those who are confident drivers, remember: confidence is a great asset, but it should be balanced with caution. Stay focused, be aware of your surroundings, and never underestimate the road. Life has a way of reminding us of our vulnerabilities, often when we least expect it.

Reflecting on that harrowing day, I am grateful to be safe and more mindful on the road. My car spent almost two months in the workshop, and though it was a tough experience, it reinforced the importance of cautious driving.

Stay safe and drive smart! πŸš—

Dreams to Reality......

A Home of My Own! πŸ

"Dreams are not those which come while we are sleeping, but
dreams are those when you don't sleep before fulfilling them."
– A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

To All Who Dream Big,

I have a touching and personal story to tell you today. This is the tale of my aspirations, my will to succeed, and the happiness I had when I accomplished the seemingly impossible. This is the story of my journey from a place of complete insignificance to one of prominence within my immediate family and among my peers. It's a voyage that evoked sentiments of joy, accomplishment, and appreciation.

I had always aspired to have a home that I could genuinely call my own. A space where I could find comfort, peace, and a sense of belonging. After countless struggles and heartbreaks, that dream has finally come true. I bought a small, cute apartment within my budget, and I have fully renovated it into a cozy, welcoming home.......πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡

Securing this apartment was not an easy feat. My first loan application for another unit was rejected, which left me devastated. I felt sad and defeated, questioning whether I would ever achieve this dream. But then, I stumbled upon this unit. Unlike my previous experience, I approached this one with a sense of calm resignation. I told myself, if it’s meant to be mine, it will be mine. And if not, then it simply wasn’t meant to be.

Miraculously, everything fell into place. The house owners were incredibly kind and supportive, allowing me to start renovations even before the full amount was cleared. Their generosity and trust filled my heart with gratitude and hope. It felt as though the universe was finally aligning in my favour. πŸ’•πŸ’•

The moment I signed the papers, I was overwhelmed with emotion. This was my very first property, purchased under my own name, without any second name attached or a guarantor. I had done it all by myself. Standing in my newly renovated apartment, I felt an immense sense of pride and accomplishment. This wasn’t just a purchase; it was a testament to my resilience, hard work, and unwavering belief in myself.

When my family heard about my new home, their reactions were priceless. Seeing the pride and admiration in their eyes was incredibly rewarding. For the first time, I felt like someone significant, someone who had achieved something remarkable. Their support and joy brought tears to my eyes, reinforcing the importance of this milestone.

This apartment is more than just a place to live; it symbolizes my journey from struggle to success. It’s a reminder that with perseverance and faith, even the most daunting dreams can become reality.πŸ’«

To everyone reading this, I want to say: Never give up on your dreams, no matter how unattainable they may seem. Life has a way of surprising us, and sometimes, the path to our dreams is paved with unexpected challenges and opportunities. Embrace them, learn from them, and keep moving forward. Because one day, you too will stand in your dream home, filled with pride and gratitude, knowing that you made it happen.πŸ’ͺ

"Embracing the Present......."

Finding Joy in Everyday MomentsπŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, often overlooking the simple pleasures that life offers. Over the years, I've learned the importance of embracing the present and finding joy in everyday moments. This practice has not only brought more happiness into my life but has also helped me appreciate the beauty in the mundane.

One of my favourite moments of mindfulness happened during a routine hike. As I climbed a familiar trail, I decided to pause and take in my surroundings. The rustling leaves, the chirping birds, and the gentle breeze all created a symphony of nature that I had often overlooked. In that moment, I felt a profound sense of peace and joy, simply by being present and fully immersed in my environment.

Another instance was during a simple family dinner. Amid the laughter and shared stories, I found myself truly appreciating the warmth and love that surrounded me. These small gatherings, filled with genuine connection, have become some of my most cherished memories.

Practicing mindfulness doesn't have to be complicated. Here are a few tips that have helped me stay present:

  •  Deep Breathing: Taking a few deep breaths can instantly ground you and bring you back to the present moment.
  •  Meditation: Even a short meditation session can help clear your mind and improve your focus on the here and now.
  • Daily Reflection: Set aside a few minutes each day to reflect on what you're grateful for and the small joys you experienced.

Focusing on the present has transformed my life in many ways. I've noticed improvements in my mental health, stronger relationships, and an overall increase in my happiness. By finding joy in the little things, I've learned to navigate life's challenges with a more positive outlook.

I encourage all of you to start embracing the present and discovering the joy in your everyday moments. Whether it's savoring your morning coffee, enjoying a walk in the park, or spending quality time with loved ones, these small moments can bring immense happiness.

Remember, life is made up of these little moments. So, take a deep breath, look around, and appreciate the beauty that surrounds you.

With love and mindfulness,
Suzan πŸ’š

Laughter on the Trails: A Hike to Remember

Hiking & Camping at Jerangkang Waterfall!

Hello, dear readers!

Let me take you on a fun-filled adventure that combines the beauty of nature with a few hilarious mishaps along the way. One weekend, my friends and I decided to embark on a two-night camping trip to the breathtaking Jerangkang Waterfall in Pahang. The camping group consisted of 32 enthusiastic hikers, led by seasoned campers, and I was just tagging along for the ride. It was an unforgettable experience filled with laughter, challenges, and a whole lot of fun. πŸŒ³πŸ•πŸŒ³

Our hike began with high spirits and great enthusiasm. However, not long into our trek, I encountered a classic Suzan moment. As I was confidently following the way, the bottom of my shoe decided it had enough of this adventure and dramatically came off. Imagine the scene: me, hobbling along like a penguin in the jungle, trying to keep up with my friends. It was like watching evolution in reverse! πŸ‘ŸπŸ‘Ÿ

My friends couldn't stop laughing, and honestly, neither could I. One of them joked, "Looks like Suzan's shoes are going back to their roots—barefoot like our ancestors!" We all burst into laughter, πŸ˜πŸ˜‚and it became the running joke of the trip. To manage, I MacGyvered the sole back on with some duct tape and sheer determination, proving that a little creativity can go a long way!πŸ‘£

The nights were just as memorable as the days. On one of the nights, three of us girls lay on a large rock, gazing up at the stars. 🌟⭐The night sky was clear and filled with countless twinkling lights.πŸŸ„πŸŸˆ✶✴

Suddenly, something streaked across the sky in a split second. We were all stunned and speechless, 😢😢 staringπŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€at each other in amazement..... After a moment of silence, one of us finally broke the spell and whispered, "Was that a shooting star?" πŸ’«πŸ’«πŸ’«πŸ’«πŸ’«πŸ’«We all nodded, grinning from ear to ear, savoring the magic of the moment. πŸͺ„πŸͺ„πŸͺ„

Our camping experience was made even more delightful by cooking and having picnics at the campsite. Sharing meals under the open sky brought us closer and added to the joy of the adventure. Those moments were truly priceless. πŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ’ž

The combination of laughter, awe, and the beauty of nature made this trip one of the most memorable experiences of my life. It reminded me that sometimes, the best memories are made not just by the destination, but by the adventures and mishaps along the way.

With laughter and joy,πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡

A Decade of Learning & Growing

My Career Adventure

Hello again, wonderful readers! πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹

Having abandoned my previous experiences, I started a fresh expedition filled with enthusiasm and desire. During my employment search, I dedicated my time to instructing SMC Classes at a Tamil school in Petaling Jaya and providing private tutoring. It was a rewarding experience and kept me on my toes!

In the meantime, I secured my current employment, which turned out to be a significant opportunity. Now, after 11 years, I am still thoroughly enjoying every moment of it. Employment at this medical logistics firm has been an extraordinary experience. Being one of the first employees at this firm, I had the exceptional chance to develop alongside the organisation, acquiring comprehensive knowledge of every aspect of the business.

From multitasking like a pro in tackling new challenges head-on, this job has been a wild and rewarding adventure.

And guess what? My boss has been the best mentor I could ever ask for. His support and guidance have played a huge part in my achievements. Plus, he’s always game for a good laugh, which makes the workplace all the more fun!

I’m incredibly grateful for the guidance and opportunities that have come my way. Looking back, it’s amazing to see how far I’ve come from those early days to where I am now.

Life’s a journey, and I’m enjoying every twist and turn. Here’s to many more years of learning, growing, and having a blast! πŸ’ƒπŸ’•

Turning Point: From Desperation to Renewal

 I'm Glad It Didn't Happen!

Today, I want to share something deeply personal and important. It's a chapter of my life that I am both grateful and relieved to have survived.

There was a time, during the last year of my marriage, when I found myself in a dark and depressive state. The weight of a failing marriage and the fear of disappointing my parents consumed me. I didn't believe in breaking a marriage, and the thought of letting down my family was unbearable. The depression lingered for over a year, growing heavier with each passing day.

One day, in a moment of utter despair, I decided to end my life. I thought it was the only way out of the pain and the shame. As I stood on the brink of a tragic decision, my parents came and rescued me. They saved my life, literally and figuratively.

Looking back, I am immensely grateful that I didn't go through with it. That moment of despair could have ended everything, but instead, it became a turning point. I realized that ending your life is never the solution to any problem. It takes just a second to end a life that God has given us, but it takes a lifetime to truly appreciate its worth.

If you ever find yourself in a similar place, please reach out to someone. Talk to a friend, a family member, or anyone who can help you see beyond the darkness. Depression can cloud your mind and make it hard to see any light, but remember, in one split second, a decision made in despair can change everything forever.

Don't let that happen. Your life is precious, and there are people who care about you. Reach out and speak up. You are not alone, and there is always hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Come Back Stronger!!! Be Adventures!!!

Stay strong and take care. πŸ’ͺπŸ’žπŸ’ͺπŸ’žπŸ’ͺπŸ’ž

So, Who Am I??

I am a simple person with strong interpersonal skills. Anger was once a defining part of my character, but through reading and meditation, I've learned to manage it. Yet, as they say, "Leopards never change their spots." So, am I completely changed? Ha ha... Just kidding! 😁😁

Life has not been easy; it has been a roller-coaster ride filled with challenges. But I always thank God for making me stronger after every storm. Despite my struggles, I remained positive, especially when good things began to happen. πŸ™

One crucial lesson I've learned is: "Be not afraid of going slow, but be afraid of standing still." Although I have a steady job, my dream has always been to become an entrepreneur. I am now working towards this goal, continuously learning to deliver the best version of my knowledge.

I am passionate about supporting small business owners with their business strategies and helping young minds with their personal development. My wish is to see my community prosper, travel the world, and, most importantly, be happy!

Feel free to reach out to me with interesting topics to discuss. Let's grow and learn together! πŸ’ž
